“My many colour days” by Dr. Seuss is a book about feelings through different colors and animals. That is why it can be a great story for First grade students of Primary Education as we can work with them some vocabulary at the same time we go into detail about emotions.
There are different materials or activities we can combine in order to make the story more attractive to them:
Transparent fabric: when we say a new color we show a fabric with the same color and we give it to one of them to watch everything through it.
Animal: when we say the animal we show it and we paste it in a place
made for that purpose.
Emotion balloons: than when we finish reading that page we can ask one of them to choose the emotion that goes with that color and that animal.
Mixed feelings person: we can make it with broken crayons and they
can paint with it to do some activity afterwards.
